I am Ramesh Hengadi, along with my wife, Rajesheree, proud Warli Tribal Artist, dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich heritage of Warli Art. My work encapsulates the essence of our tribe’s Art, Tradition, Culture, Religious Practices, and Farm Activities, all beautifully expressed through intricate and symbolic Warli paintings. With a Masters Degree, in Rural Development, Mumbai University. Mahatma Gandhi Vastul Sangrahalaya, Mumbai
I have had the privilege of showcasing my art globally, with two successful trips to the UK, where my work was featured at the prestigious V&A Museum in London. Additionally, I participated in exchange programs with schools in London, introducing Warli Art to new audiences. These experiences have strengthened my resolve to share our cultural stories with the world.
At my home, I have hosted 5 Art Residencies, where artists and enthusiasts come together to immerse themselves in Warli traditions. With the support of a UK-based company, my vision is to establish a Warli Training Center, a space where the next generation of artists can learn and preserve our traditions.
